Abstract

This paper presents a research project designed to analyse the current conditions provided to pupils with special educational needs who, after meeting the statutory criteria, are educated in mainstream primary schools in the Slovak Republic. It outlines the proposed methodology for assessing the conditions that support successful inclusion and for formulating concrete recommendations for schools. The project focuses on external and internal conditions, differences between regions and school sectors, and the experiences of headteachers, teachers and parents.
