The article analyzes the processes of developing academic literacy among master’s students in the context of studying a foreign language for professional communication. It examines the theoretical approaches to academic literacy, its structure and key components, as well as the specifics of forming academic writing skills in a foreign-language environment. The authors describe pedagogical experience in step-by-step instruction in academic writing in a foreign language, contributing to the development of critical thinking, research autonomy, communicative and regulatory-behavioral competences. It is shown that academic literacy can be developed only within a systematic educational process that integrates reading, analysis, evaluation, and the creation of scientific texts. Methodological recommendations for the development of academic literacy among master’s students are formulated, oriented toward the goals of professional training and involvement in academic communication [1].
