The rapid integration of digital tools into education has transformed foreign language teaching and learning in basic school. This article investigates the role of interactive technologies in developing foreign language competence and communicative competence among students aged 11–15. Drawing on contemporary methodological frameworks and empirical studies, the research identifies key types of interactive technologies, analyses their pedagogical potential, and evaluates their impact on learners’ linguistic performance, motivation, and communicative interaction. Findings suggest that interactive platforms, multimedia resources, gamified environments, and collaborative digital tools significantly enhance language acquisition processes by creating authentic, student-centred learning environments
