The main focus of the research on this topic is on how investments in human capital have a significant impact on the socio-economic development of various regions of the country. China was chosen as the object of the study. This article examines the essence of human capital, its components, as well as the impact of investments in healthcare, education and the development of professional skills on labor productivity growth and competitiveness.
