Abstract

Foreign language proficiency is widely recognized as a crucial skill for communication, cultural exchange, and personal growth. Among the various language skills, speaking proficiency is particularly important, as it influences how individuals engage in conversations and express themselves. Traditionally, speaking skills have been developed through classroom activities and structured lessons. However, with the emergence of digital platforms such as the “Cake” app, learners now have new opportunities to enhance their speaking abilities outside of the traditional classroom setting. This study examines the role of the “Cake” app in improving speaking proficiency in foreign language education. The app offers a wide range of interactive features, including dialogues, pronunciation exercises, and real-life speaking simulations, which provide learners with authentic experiences that make language learning more engaging and practical. The study focuses on how learners can use “Cake” to expand their vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and master complex sentence structures. It also evaluates the effectiveness of incorporating “Cake” into foreign language curricula, considering factors like student motivation, engagement, and overall progress.
