THE STUDY OF CHINESE INTERNET SLANG AND THE SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY OF CHINESE NETIZENS IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Abstract
Chinese internet language, as an important component of modern Chinese, not only records the cultural changes in Chinese society but also reflects the dynamic social psychology of the country. With the ongoing acceleration of the digital process, Chinese internet slang has undergone significant changes in both its forms of dissemination and its cultural significance. The evolution of modern Chinese reflects the profound recording of social changes through language symbols. At the same time, as a part of social culture, it continuously absorbs and reflects new elements from China’s social, economic, and cultural fields. Especially in the digital age, the “everyone is a media person” communication environment has made the connotation and extension of Chinese internet slang more diversified and dynamic, further highlighting its sensitive capture and reflection of social reality.
