THE HUNS IN FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC RESEARCH: THE IMAGE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF HUN TRIBES

The period of the Huns (IV-V centuries BC)) is one of the most important periods in the history of Central and Eastern Europe. During this period, the nomadic Hunnic tribes played a crucial role in changing the political and cultural situation of the region. This article contains data on the manifestation and character of the Hunnic period in domestic and foreign studies. In foreign studies, there аre data on the Hunnic ethnic group in ancient Europe and China, and in domestic studies there is information about the Hunnic tribes on the Kazakh land. The Hunnic period is an important epoch in Kazakh history. Foreign and domestic studies have deeply analyzed the cultural, social, and political aspects of this period. Researchers are particularly interested in the history of the Huns, their nomadic life, military strategies, as well as their relations with other peoples. Ethnic, archaeological and linguistic aspects of the history of the Huns are widely considered in Russian studies. Meanwhile, foreign researchers have deeply studied the role of the Huns in the history of European countries, especially their ties with the Roman Empire. The results of these works reveal the richness of the culture of the Huns, their role in the relations between the West and the East, and also determine their influence on subsequent peoples, including the Turkic ones
