This study explores the impact of animated cartoons on vocabulary expansion among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. Traditionally, vocabulary development in EFL classrooms has relied on textbook-based exercises, but with the rise of digital media, animated cartoons offer an engaging alternative. Through a combination of vibrant visuals, dynamic characters, and contextualized language exposure, animated cartoons provide learners with an immersive, multimodal learning experience. The study examines how this medium supports word recognition, contextual understanding, and long-term vocabulary retention. Additionally, it investigates how animated cartoons enhance motivation and engagement in language learning. The findings indicate that cartoons significantly improve vocabulary acquisition by offering repeated exposure to new words in meaningful contexts, promoting cultural understanding, and increasing learner interest. However, the study highlights the importance of selecting appropriate content and integrating supplementary activities to maximize the effectiveness of this method. Further research with larger sample sizes is recommended to confirm these results and explore optimal pedagogical strategies.
