Abstract

This article explores the impact of Edpuzzle, an interactive video platform, on the development of listening skills in foreign language education. Listening, a critical yet challenging skill, is often taught passively, but Edpuzzle aims to transform this by providing an active and engaging learning experience through interactive video content. To understand its effectiveness, a survey was conducted to gather educators’ perspectives on Edpuzzle’s usage, its influence on student engagement and comprehension, and its role in enhancing critical listening. Survey results reveal mixed opinions among teachers, with variations in effectiveness based on factors such as usage frequency, lesson integration, and familiarity with the platform. These findings underscore both the potential and the barriers to integrating Edpuzzle into listening instruction, suggesting that it holds promise for improving listening skills in dynamic, multimedia-based learning environments.
