Abstract

The article presents the definitions and correlation of revolution and reform as system-forming categories of social evolution. The analysis of various interpretations of the contents and meanings of these concepts gives reason to conclude that the priority of reform processes over revolutionary processes, their greater pragmatism in the socio-cultural, political and economic life of society.

The dynamics of reforming the modern economy is considered on the example of post-Soviet states. In this regard, recommendations are presented to improve and strengthen the processes of reforming society, the state, and the economy.
