Abstract

Up until the early 19th century, Azerbaijani society was highly traditional and only adhered to Eastern laws about education. The history of our nation's early enlightened democrats shows that they faced numerous challenges in their endeavors. It was impossible to grow enlightened in a superstitious and ignorant culture. But this growth process itself shaped the society. This viewpoint contends that research on topics like the position of women in society, attitudes toward them, etc. in Azerbaijan during the second half of the 19th century significantly draws upon the literature and ideologies of the period. The Azerbaijani woman are revered as the wellspring of life and the embodiment of wisdom both in folk creativity and in the literary work of philosophers who made their mark on written literature.  Because of this, every chapter of our history is filled with shining instances of the knowledge, devotion, and bravery of our women. Women are always treated with the utmost respect and dignity, and the title of mother, who created the world, is highly prized in today's society. The national-spiritual and cultural value system of Azerbaijan has incorporated this as an essential and eternal component.
