Abstract

The Plaxis software package for solving geotechnical problems, developed by the numerical finite element method based on the Coulomb-Moore (Moore-Coulomb) model, which is widely used in the countries of the European Union, the Russian Federation and other countries, was developed in accordance with the requirements of Eurocode-7. In the current situation, when the goal is to develop a system of Building Codes and Rules (BNbD) of Mongolia, taking into account Eurocode, the problem of studying and using this software package is an important task. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a manual for the application of the Plaxis 2D and 3D program and other related materials to be translated into Mongolian, which should be included in the curriculum of higher educational institutions. Another important issue is to educate engineers and designers through short term retraining
