Abstract

This article examines the architectural examples discovered as a result of archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Gabala, the former capital of Caucasian Albania. In addition to regional features, the relationship of these monuments to Greco-Roman and Near Eastern architectural traditions is analyzed. Gabala's level of cultural and technological development is assessed in the context of modern international research
