Abstract

This article theoretically examines the features of the development of verbal communication skills in children aged 7-8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The relevance of the study is determined by the expansion of processes in the modern system of special education and the importance of developing speech and communication skills in children with ASD. The paper is written as a literature review and is based on the analysis of domestic and foreign scientific sources, which consider the characteristics of speech development in children of this age, including the level of verbal communication formation, language difficulties, and their causes. The main factors influencing the development of verbal communication skills in children with ASD are identified, and their interrelation is theoretically substantiated.
