Abstract

With the development of the global economy, logistics is becoming increasingly important. International transport corridors, a system of transport and logistics centers and terminals, and border crossing points are being developed—everything that enables the fast, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods to various points around the world. Multimodal and intermodal transportation, containerization and cargo packaging, and cross-docking systems are further developing. However, to further improve these processes and accelerate the flow of materials, information, and financial resources, it is necessary to increasingly utilize digital logistics.

Digitalization of logistics creates the preconditions for increased profits for transport companies, coordinates and intensifies all logistics processes, assists in the planning and modeling of transport flows, the creation of supplier and customer databases, and data security systems for companies involved in supply chains, etc. Through the development of various mobile applications, digitalization simplifies the work of drivers, creates an electronic queue system for border crossings and terminal services, and monitors participants at every stage of the logistics chain. It also helps logisticians and shippers predict delivery times and quickly resolve unexpected situations that arise in route.
