This article focuses on enhancing user authentication for web resources by addressing the limitations of current authentication methods. A novel two-factor authentication (2FA) strategy is proposed, utilizing the Django framework, with a combination of password authentication and a customizable second factor, which may include a unique movement-based test. The paper also emphasizes quantitative security evaluations and approaches to mitigate multi-stage attacks based on recent advancements in security models, including OWASP-based assessment frameworks. The proposed 2FA system, integrated with enhanced security measures, demonstrates scalability, flexibility, and robust defense against evolving web-based threats, making it a valuable solution for securing web applications. The findings underscore the potential for adapting the authentication process to diverse security needs while maintaining high usability standards.
