MECHANISMS OF PROSPECTIVE CHANGE IN THE STRUCTURE OF KAZAKHSTAN'S EXPORTS
Abstract
Today, the Republic of Kazakhstan has a rich resource base, traditionally focused on raw material exports, primarily oil, gas, metals and uranium. However, current global trends, including the transition to a "green" economy, diversification of growth sources and the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the Eurasian region, create conditions for revising the country's export policy. Prospective changes in the structure of Kazakhstan's exports require a systemic understanding of the country's current economic model, as well as taking into account internal and external socio-economic factors. Currently, the basis of Kazakhstan's exports is, first of all, raw materials, such as: oil and oil products (about 50% of the total export volume), natural gas, ferrous and non-ferrous metals (copper, zinc, aluminum, uranium, etc.), coal, agricultural products (wheat, flour, vegetable oil, etc.). This focus makes the country's economy vulnerable to external shocks, especially fluctuations in world prices for raw materials, which requires diversification of the economy
