Abstract

This article discusses the features of the image of historical figures in the Kazakh film art.From the point of view of the decolonization process, attention is drawn to how the domestic film industry portrays historical events and great personalities.The differences between cinema of the Soviet period and modern national cinema are analyzed, the role of cinema in the transformation of the cultural identity of the Kazakh people is analyzed.In addition, the problem of artistic solutions and historical authenticity in historical films is considered.
