Abstract

The survival and transition of traditional gas stations in Kazakhstan's dynamic market economy are of paramount importance. As the world grapples with fluctuating oil prices, the emergence of sophisticated competitors, and stricter regulations, these establishments are compelled to adapt swiftly to maintain viability. This research elucidates the essential strategies that enable these stations to thrive amidst such challenges. By focusing on the resilience and transformation through innovation and the embrace of alternative energies, the study addresses a critical gap in the understanding of Kazakhstan's petroleum retail sector.

The research question guiding this inquiry is how traditional gas stations in Kazakhstan can maintain their competitiveness and undergo a transformation in a market economy characterized by increasing competition. To investigate this, the study delves into strategic approaches for resilience, highlighting operational efficiency, superior customer service, and marketing innovations as vital components.

This article aims to study how traditional gas stations in Kazakhstan respond to various current impacts, survive in the increasingly fierce competition, and achieve transformation in the current market economy environment. Also in the increasingly fierce market competition, it provides suggestions for the future development of small and medium-sized refined oil retailers. Hopefully this paper also explores the possibility of realizing a new ecosystem of "people-vehicles-life" and provide a new way of life for local people.
