Abstract

Before  the  60s  of  the  XX  century  small  business  was  considered  to  have  no prospects and to be the most weakly developed sector of economy. It started development after  the  end  of  the  II  World  War,  when  developed  countries  orientated  at  full employment of the population and mass production of goods. After that small business has become one of the indispensable and dynamically developing parts in the economy of developed countries. Due to its special place it plays an essential role not only in socio- economic, but in public -political life of these countries as well. In the paper discussed the small business development trends in the world and in Georgia.
