Abstract

Malignant tumors continue to be one of the leading causes of death worldwide, not weakening, but building their potential, despite active anti-cancer measures carried out at all levels of the organization of medical care for the population. In the fight against this ailment, radiation therapy occupies an important place. High-tech radiation therapy has become one of the most dynamically developing areas of modern oncology due to rapid advances in medical imaging, adaptive treatment planning, artificial intelligence, proton and particle therapy, and MRI-guided radiation delivery systems. Contemporary radiotherapy increasingly follows precision medicine principles, where treatment strategies are individualized according to anatomical, biological, and functional tumor characteristics. These data demonstrate that modern high-tech radiotherapy should be considered as an interdisciplinary platform integrating medical physics, imaging science, computational medicine, radiobiology, and clinical oncology to improve treatment efficacy while minimizing treatment-related toxicity
