Abstract

The integration of smart technologies into education has significantly transformed approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages, particularly English. This article explores the role and effectiveness of smart technologies in teaching English within the framework of contemporary digital education. The study examines various technological tools, including artificial intelligence, mobile applications, online learning platforms, interactive multimedia resources, and virtual communication environments, which contribute to the enhancement of language acquisition. Special attention is given to the pedagogical advantages of smart technologies, such as increased learner motivation, personalized instruction, interactive engagement, flexibility, and the development of communicative competence. Furthermore, the article addresses existing challenges associated with the implementation of smart technologies in English language instruction, including technological barriers and the necessity of teachers’ digital literacy. The findings suggest that the effective integration of smart technologies enhances the quality of English language teaching and creates innovative opportunities for learners in the digital era.
