Abstract

The article examines the main strategic directions for enhancing the competitiveness of tourism enterprises in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Within the framework of the research, the current development trends of the tourism sector, the economic and institutional factors influencing the activities of tourism enterprises, as well as the characteristics of the competitive environment in the tourism market are analyzed. The study employs a systematic approach, comparative analysis, and economic-statistical methods. A SWOT analysis was conducted to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the tourism sector. In addition, an analytical model outlining the key factors influencing the competitiveness of tourism enterprises is presented. The results of the research indicate that the formation of tourism clusters, the expansion of digitalization processes, the development of human capital, and the implementation of modern marketing strategies can make a significant contribution to strengthening the competitive advantages of tourism enterprises
