DEVELOPMENT AND EFFECTIVENESS EVALUATION OF A CORPORATE BACKGROUND MUSIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: IMPACT ON EMPLOYEE PRODUCTIVITY AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Abstract
In contemporary enterprises, there is a growing emphasis on utilizing instruments that enhance the work atmosphere and boost employee productivity. One such instrument is background music, which has gained popularity in recent years across offices, sales spaces, call centers, and service companies.
Despite its apparent simplicity, managing background music is a multifaceted process that necessitates a systematic approach, considering the unique aspects of corporate culture, the specific nature of the organization's operations, the psychophysiological characteristics of employees, and the context of the work environment.
In the era of digital transformation, there is a need for the development of corporate background music management systems that enable the adaptation of music accompaniment to various work processes, workload patterns, and individual employee profiles.
The significance of this research is determined by several crucial factors. Firstly, the intensifying competition compels companies to seek novel management approaches that enhance employee engagement and boost productivity. Background music is emerging as a tool for influencing the cognitive state, emotional backdrop, and motivation of staff. Secondly, the proliferation of automation technologies and digital platforms opens up possibilities for the creation of intelligent music environment management systems, making this topic particularly relevant in the context of digital business transformation. Thirdly, there is a dearth of comprehensive research in the academic literature that integrates the psychological aspects of music's influence with managerial, organizational, and technological mechanisms.
