Religious radicalism poses a significant challenge in Central Asia, impacting societal stability, political dynamics, and regional security. This paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the causes, consequences, and counteraction strategies pertaining to religious radicalism in the Central Asian context. Drawing upon a comprehensive review of literature and empirical evidence, the study identifies various factors contributing to the emergence and spread of religious radicalism in the region, including socio-economic disparities, political grievances, external influences, and ideological factors. Furthermore, it examines the multifaceted consequences of religious radicalism, encompassing social tensions, political instability, and heightened security risks. In response to these challenges, the paper explores effective counteraction strategies adopted by Central Asian governments, international actors, and civil society organizations, highlighting the importance of holistic approaches encompassing socio-economic development, religious tolerance promotion, and law enforcement measures.
