THE IMPACT OF CROSS-CULTURAL DIFFERENCES ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COLLEGE TEACHER TEAM COLLABORATION
Abstract
The education system is undergoing significant changes related to the processes of globalization, internationalization of the labor market and increased academic mobility. In this regard, colleges are becoming centers of intensive intercultural interaction, where teachers from different countries and regions join professional teams. Cultural diversity in teaching staff is not only a natural characteristic of the educational environment, but also an important factor affecting the quality of communication, role allocation, managerial decision-making and the overall effectiveness of professional activities.
Despite the growing interest in issues of intercultural communication and collaboration among educators, there are still significant gaps in the scientific literature.
Firstly, it is not well understood how cultural differences manifest themselves in the daily professional activities of college teachers. Many studies focus on the university environment, ignoring the specifics of colleges, where communication and coordination of actions are more practical and cooperative.
Secondly, few studies have been devoted to comparing the intercultural characteristics of teachers in countries with different educational systems and historical traditions.
Thirdly, there is a lack of comprehensive research linking the cultural attitudes of teachers with the effectiveness of their professional cooperation, including the allocation of responsibilities, methods of interaction, conflict resolution mechanisms and the perception of colleagues.
