Annotation. In the era of globalization, the desire of each people to preserve the uniqueness of their culture, to capture its features is growing. The national costume is one of the most prominent elements of national culture, accumulating and transmitting from generation to generation the socio-cultural experience of a particular ethnic group.

The article analyzes samples of Kazakh national men's costumes and considers methods of modern interpretation of traditional national costumes. To determine the historical possibilities of clothing, it is proposed to conduct a historical analysis of the decisions of the national costume, the information obtained is structured.
