Abstract

In the second half of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century, the organized activity of intellectual women in the socio-political and cultural life of the South Caucasus was of great historical importance. The formation of women's education, the creation of women's organizations, including Azerbaijani women's organizations, which would work in this field, was one of the important factors in the development of education. Until the beginning of the XX century, Azerbaijani women, working as part of various  women's organizations, provided historical services in the direction of educating Muslim women and involving them in education.

The research work was written on the basis of archival documents, published sources, materials published in the press of the research period.
