Abstract

In English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education, assessment is essential for evaluating student progress, directing instruction, and influencing teaching approaches. Teachers’ beliefs about assessment significantly impact their classroom practices. Gaining insight into these beliefs and how they are applied in assessment practices is crucial for enhancing educational results and aligning teaching strategies with students’ needs. This article examines the connection between teachers’ beliefs and their assessment methods in EFL classrooms. Ha et al.(2021) pointed out interest has been increasing in how language teachers’ beliefs influence the implementation of the English language teaching curriculum.
