FUNCTIONAL MODEL OF FUNDAMENTALIZATION OF MATHEMATICAL TRAINING OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

The article analyzes the state of mathematical training of future specialists in technical profile from the standpoint of the fundamentalization of education; revealed the essence of the principle of fundamentalization of mathematical training of foreign students of technical higher education institutions; the methodological foundations of the principle of fundamentalization as a basis for the improvement of mathematical preparation and the possibility of its realization are considered; a functional model of fundamentalization of mathematical preparation of foreign students on the basis of competence and activity approaches is developed and presented; pedagogical conditions for the foundationalization of mathematical training of foreign students (use of a limited number of basic mathematical concepts that allow to acquire a significant amount of professionally important information; choice of the optimal mathematical apparatus; formalization of the essence of production problems and construction of appropriate mathematical models); foreign students; requirements for fundamentalization of the content of mathematical preparation of students are defined; found out that the linguistic barrier hinders the acquisition of mathematical knowledge by foreign students; offered for the adaptation of foreign students educational and methodical manuals in Russian, Ukrainian and English on separate topics of higher mathematics, fragments of which are presented in the article; didactic principles of integration of the content of special and mathematical disciplines; pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the principle of fundamentalization for different areas of training and specializations.
