GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF YETIBAI FIELD
Abstract
The oil industry is one of the main players in the country's economy and makes a significant contribution to the development of the energy sector.
In general, the oil industry greatly contributes to the development of heavy and light industry, agriculture and transport.
The Zhetybay deposit connects the plain with a large anticlinal fold.
Its dimensions are 22x6 kilometers on the structural surface of the Jurassic horizon, and the amplitude of the uplift is 65 meters.
The structure is quite flat, the angle of descent increases from 2 to 5 degrees in depth.
There are deep exploratory wells, three kilometers of Upper Triassic to Quaternary sedimentary rocks, including Jurassic sediments covered by industrial oil. The Jurassic system is represented by lower, middle and upper sections. Jurassic sediments are characterized by alternating layers of sandstone, siltstone, clay, argillite with a total thickness of 1300 meters.
Jurassic sediments are 10-120 meters thick. The Middle Jurassic sections consist of sediments of the Allen, Bayast and Western strata. In the cross-section of the Alain level, the XII and XIII horizons are divided.
