Abstract

Agatha Christie, renowned as the “Queen of Mystery”, has left an indelible mark on the global literary landscape with her intricate plots and compelling characters. However, her influence extends beyond the boundaries of English literature, permeating into various cultural contexts, including Kazakh literature. This study delves into the adaptation and reinterpretation of Christie's plots within the framework of Kazakh literature, examining how her themes and narrative structures are integrated into the Kazakh literary landscape. Through a comparative analysis of selected works by Agatha Christie and their adaptations in Kazakh literature, this research aims to explore the cultural nuances, narrative transformations, and thematic resonances that emerge in the process of transposing Christie's mysteries into the Kazakh context. By examining the reception and adaptation of Christie's works in Kazakh literature, this study sheds light on the dynamic interplay between global literary influences and indigenous cultural expressions, offering insights into the ways in which literary traditions intersect and evolve in the context of cultural exchange and adaptation. Through a nuanced exploration of Christie's plots in Kazakh literature, this research contributes to our understanding of cross-cultural literary dynamics and the enduring legacy of Agatha Christie's storytelling prowess in diverse cultural milieus.
