Abstract

this article discusses the role of the national system of standardization and certification in improving the quality of the national tourism product. The article highlights the main issues related to the structure of the standardization system in the field of tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan, considers the main problems and prospects for the development and application of the standardization system in various areas of the tourism industry. Important aspects of the role of both mandatory and voluntary certification for enterprises that are an integral part of the tourism industry and are associated with the accommodation of tourists, transport services, meals, the provision of tourist and excursion services, carrying out tour operator and travel agency activities have been identified.
