Abstract

The most promising and economically advantageous way to improve the quality of motor oils is to use additives with various functional purposes. The increase in the production of high-quality motor oils necessitates the development of new highly effective additives with various functional purposes. Among the wide range of these additives, sulfonate additives with varying levels of alkalinity, produced on the basis of petroleum oils and synthetic alkyl aromatic oils, are of great practical importance. The main functional properties of additives of this type are their detergent and dispersant efficiency, their ability to neutralize oil oxidation products formed during engine operation, and thus reduce the amount of deposits on its parts. An important indicator of the quality of additives of this type, characterizing their functional properties, is the content of the active substance metal sulfonate, which should be 28-30%.
