UNESCO as a Tool for Shaping the International Image of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Expert Recommendations on the Effective Use of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage Objects

This article is strictly applied in nature and contains practical recommendations from a UNESCO expert on utilizing the Organization’s mechanisms to strengthen the international image of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring proper care of already inscribed World Heritage sites as the “face” of the country, demonstrating fulfillment of international obligations and contribution to global civilizational processes. Key directions include museification, popularization among the population (especially youth), and introduction of modern interactive technologies to form a distinctive style of museum presentation.
The recommendations are based on UNESCO best practices and are intended for immediate application in state policy, museum practice, and tourism development.
