Abstract

Investigating teachers’ and learners’ language learning beliefs is crucial since they have a great impact on language learning and language teaching processes. Beliefs that teachers hold may impact the way they behave in the classrooms, as well as their practice, attitudes, and learners’ beliefs. Learners’ beliefs impact their perceptions, attitudes, motivation, achievement, success, anxiety, language knowledge levels, and learning strategies. Both teachers and learners may hold positive or negative language learning beliefs. This article will look at the approaches which help researchers reveal language teachers’ and learners’ beliefs.
