Abstract

Pharmacists play an important role in the treatment of chronic varicose veins and first aid. Most of the medicines that patients take are given without a prescription. It is also necessary to take into account the fact that in many cases, varicose veins need to be given advice and direction of treatment, which can be effectively done by pharmacists, including clinical pharmacists. The clinical pharmacist participated together with the doctor in the discussion of the diagnosis of varicose veins of the patients, with a joint decision, the selection of the optimal drugs for the treatment was made, taking into account the effectiveness, safety, side effects, possible interactions with other drugs and the cost. During the research process, observation and focus on details was carried out. Research has shown that clinical pharmacist participation in pharmacotherapy has a positive impact on the treatment process. It was revealed that, in many cases, patients with varicose veins also have other concomitant diseases, which is why they need individual counseling regarding medication intake, selection of drug form and dosage regimen, which will be successfully carried out by a clinical pharmacist and save the doctor's time.
