Abstract

This article deals with the calculation of optimality in intermodal transport. As a criterion of optimality is usually taken either the minimum cost of transportation of the entire cargo, or the minimum time of its delivery. The paper will present the calculation of the average rail transport distance for several routes using container transport as an example. The Rail-Atlas program was used for the calculations
