Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the place of teaching listening in foreign language lessons. The authors substantiate the relevance of teaching listening comprehension, which, in turn, is one of the fundamental skills in the process of mastering students' language competence. This paper presents the main aspects that contribute to effective listening in the classroom in a foreign language.
