Mythologism in “Ulysses”
Abstract
The prominent Irish writer, literary critic and teacher James Joyce was born in Dublin in 1882. One of the most prominent representatives of the modernist movement in the world, Joyce created very important literary works using the stream of consciousness style. The work we will talk about today is Joyce's "Ulysses".
James Joyce himself says about this work: "I've put in so many enigmas and puzzles that it will keep the professors busy for centuries arguing over what I meant, and that's the only way of insuring one's immortality".
