Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Quizlet in enhancing vocabulary acquisition in foreign language education, focusing on its gamified approach and impact on learner engagement. Utilizing a quantitative design, the research involved 30 participants who were surveyed to assess their perceptions of Quizlet’s impact on vocabulary retention, motivation, and self-regulation. The findings indicate that Quizlet significantly improves vocabulary learning outcomes, with learners reporting increased retention, motivation, and engagement. Despite some concerns regarding rote memorization, the study suggests that Quizlet, when integrated into structured learning environments, can be a valuable tool for enhancing vocabulary acquisition in foreign language teaching.
