Abstract

The presence of streptomycin residues in meat poses a significant threat to public health and can lead to the development of antimicrobial resistance. Immunoassays offer a promising approach for the rapid and sensitive detection of streptomycin in food samples. However, the effectiveness of IAs is contingent on the quality of sample preparation. This research aims to develop efficient and robust sample preparation methods to improve the accuracy and reliability of streptomycin detection in meat using immunoassay techniques.

In recent messages from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, issues related to the development of scientific activities, including research in the field of veterinary medicine and biotechnology, have been repeatedly raised.  In this direction, from September 2, 2024, the President focused on the need to introduce innovative technologies in the agro-industrial sector, which includes the development of new technologies to improve animal health and improve product quality. Also, within the framework of grant financing, scientific projects for 2022-2024 were allocated areas for the rational use of the territory, taking into account resources, ecology, as well as the development of the agro-industrial complex. These initiatives include research aimed at improving animal disease control methods and the development of new veterinary methods.
